  1. I bought the Sunfounder kit. Tons of items in it. I was not impressed with the breadboard. Connections were sketchy at best.

  2. DON’T get a starter kit. NEVER. Good ones don’t exist. Make one yourself by combining items on a webshop from an in your country seller. Key ingredients: Arduino Leonardo (not UNO), a I2C VA LCD or I2C OLED display, not the junk white-on-blue with I2C hunchback displays, they suck more than anything that has sucked before, and some quality sensors/modules, like a BMP 085, an RTC, a time-of-flight distance/guesture sensor, a neopixel module, prototype board and a bunch of jumper cables and a male/female band cables. NEVER LEDs and resistors! If you want to rage-quit your hobby on day one, start with LED projects….

  3. I still like the official kit, as a beginner with no experience in electronics or engineering, it’s genuinely the most straightforward path
